Homework and Hanboks

17 Sep

Cora had an assignment for school.  Turn this paper doll into YOU!  Use your favorites, your heritage, your special things to turn this into a special paper doll that no one would doubt is you.

I promise, it said parents could help.
And I swear, that’s all I did.  😉  I just helped.

She totally used the scissors and glue stick.
She rocked the glue stick.

And look! She wrote her names!
🙂

Someone was very proud.
(But I’ll show you another picture of Cora instead of me. 😉 )

I think it looks like Cora, no?

And because it took us an hour to make a paper doll in a hanbok, she of course had to put hers on.
A gift from a dear family in Korea who was Cora’s host family.
Thank you Parks.

We tried to go outside for pictures but it was too windy.
What? Doesn’t every sweet Korean child wear princess shoes with their hanboks?
And have a half-smeared off face painting of hello kitty?
No? Mine does!

Bowing to us.

Praying so sweetly.  “Dear God, thank you for letting me come to my MiGook family.”

She is simply beautiful!

I’m Korean studying in the US right now. I am interested in Korean children adoptees and ran into this website. Your family is the sweetest ever and I am so thankful Cora found a great family. I think she’s pretty talented in crafts too 🙂

Hi DP! Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I wish you luck in your studies!

I’m not sure wher you are, but you should look to see if there is a group of families who adopted from Korea in your city. We have one and we have such amazing support from the Koreans and Korean American’s in our area who help us with holiday celebrations/language school/etc…You know, if you have ANY time after studying! 😛
