Play Therapy

8 May

As I mentioned before, Cora can rock the fine motor skills, but her large motor skills need a bit of fine tuning. With a little play and a lot of brother time, this girl is already showing so much progress!

On one of our first days home, she tumbled down the stairs of the park swing set (and didn’t cry…can’t wait until she feels comfortable enough to cry) but each time we go, she is braver and stronger and faster!

Though she still can’t outrun my walk πŸ˜‰ she’s improving SO much!

She’s getting brave and holding on…

We think all she needs is a summer with her monkey brother Miles and she’ll be all caught up. πŸ˜‰

Today she went down the slide without holding my hands for the first time. (Love the hair. Yikes!)

Climbed up way too many scary climbers which about gave mom a heart attack.

And got her bouncy on.

She played with a 3-year-old who looked eye-to-eye with her. Cracked me up when Cora kept calling her a baby. “Come here, baby!” Luckily the 3-year-old didn’t mind.

And the most exciting news is that we found a helmet that fit Miss Cora’s head so now she can scoot with Miles.Β  It takes her about 60 seconds to go one sidewalk width, but she sure does think she’s cool! πŸ™‚

I can’t wait to see how she’s doing with her large motor skills come mid-summer!

Love seeing her at the playground! Her GM skills remind me of Michael’s. After chasing big brother around, his skills grew remarkably. It was amazing. He sooooo wanted to be, and follow around big brother in everything he did.
